✨ New this year...

Dedication Trees - A Living Tribute - Celebrate, Remember, and Give Thanks
This Christmas, we’re delighted to introduce a new and meaningful way to be part of Worcester Cathedral’s much-loved Christmas Tree Festival.
We invite you to dedicate one of the real miniature Christmas trees that will adorn our ancient Chapter House to someone special — in memory of a loved one, in celebration of someone who inspires you, or simply to say thank you.
In partnership with St Peter’s Garden Centre*, there are 60 trees available for dedication, each priced at £55.

For £55, your Dedication Tree will:

  • Be beautifully displayed in the Cathedral’s Chapter House throughout the festive season (dates), with your personal dedication message on display
  • Be adorned with your choice of decorative topper
  • Be seen and appreciated by tens of thousands of visitors
  • Be yours to take home in January — to plant, nurture, and enjoy for years to come.

This is a wonderful opportunity for you, your family, and friends to take part in a cherished tradition, while creating a lasting tribute that grows beyond Christmas.
Join us in making this season one of celebration, remembrance, and thanks.

Relaxed Hour (Free)
Relaxed hour for visiting the Christmas Tree Festival. Suitable for those with sensory differences, accessibility or additional needs.

Book your free tickets during our Relaxed Visiting Hour to explore our Christmas Tree Festival here at Worcester Cathedral. In 2025, it is bigger and better than ever, including Dedication Trees in the Chapter House and even a Marquee on College Green!
Our Christmas Tree Festival is extremely popular and at busy times such as weekends and school holidays can be quite crowded and noisy. This year we will be opening our doors an hour early on certain mornings close to Christmas (see below) for a more relaxed, less busy, and quieter atmosphere. We will have limited tickets to ensure a less-crowded environment, and fewer stimuli.
During these times there will be no rehearsals or music and the Cathedral will be closed for general visiting, so you will be able to explore the Festival in a relaxed setting and at your own pace. You will also be able to explore the Cathedral during this time, if you wish.
These mornings will also be suitable for visitors with accessibility and/or mobility needs, those who are visually impaired, those with sensory needs, and those with additional needs who would prefer more space/time.
*Please note that other than assistance dogs, no other dogs will be permitted.
*This event is open to children and adults - please indicate numbers when ordering your tickets.

Times and dates:
Saturday 13 December, 9.10-10am
Saturday 20 December, 9.10-10am
Monday 22 December, 9.10-10am
Tuesday 23 December, 9.10-10am

*Well-behaved dogs on a short lead are welcome in the Cathedral during the Christmas period, including to the Christmas Tree Festival. During particularly busy times, such as Saturdays and 4-7 November when the Victorian Christmas Market is on, we ask owners to be mindful of the limited space in the cloisters for the comfort of all of our visitors.*

Peaceful Moments Therapy
I am a psychologist and psychotherapist based in Worcester, working with children, young people, and adults to support their emotional wellbeing, especially around anxiety and stress. My passion is to create a safe and compassionate space where people feel truly listened to and encouraged on their journey of healing.
This is now the third year I have had the joy of taking part in the Christmas Tree Festival, and each time I have been touched by the overwhelming amount of positive feedback it receives. It is more than just a festive event – it creates a sense of warmth, hope, and togetherness that resonates deeply with me both personally and professionally.
For many, the festive season can bring mixed emotions, and I’ve always felt that the Cathedral offers a place of light and comfort , something I discovered myself when I moved here 11 years ago. I’m truly honoured to support the Festival again and to be part of something that brings so much joy to our community.

*Dedication Trees generously provided by St Peter's Garden Centre.
We are St Peters Garden Centre, a family-run business at the heart of Worcester’s community, passionate about bringing people together through the joy of gardening and seasonal celebrations.
Each year, we are proud to donate the Cathedral’s main Christmas tree, a cherished tradition that allows us to share in the magic of the festive season with local families.
This year, we are delighted to expand our support with the donation of 60 potted Albertina Conica trees for the beautiful new “in memory of…” section in the Chapter House. This poignant addition offers families a chance to honour loved ones, sponsor a tree during the festival, and then take it home to plant for years of remembrance and growth.
Supporting & partnering with the Cathedral means a great deal to us, as they celebrate togetherness, hope, and the shared traditions that bring joy to the local community and all that visit.

With thanks to Bryland for supplying the fire extinguishers for this event.
