Saturday 9 November 2024
The Nave will be closed for visiting from 12pm, due to the Regents Theological College Graduations taking place. The East End will remain open to the public, including the Cloisters, cafe and shop.

Friday 13 December 2024
The Nave and East End will be closed for general visiting from 12.30pm due to the performance of A Christmas Carol.
The Cloisters, shop and cafe will remain open, so visitors will still be able to see the Christmas Tree Festival, with access to view trees via the Slype door on the south side of the Cathedral.

Please check back before your visit as this page is updated regularly.

Restrictions During Normal Visiting Hours

While the Cathedral is open to general visits, not all areas of the Cathedral may be accessible.
There is currently no entry off College Green; entry is via the North Porch in College Yard (opposite the High Street).
From time to time when we have weddings, funerals, memorial services or other events in the Quire, the East End of the Cathedral will be closed. However where possible we will give access to the Nave and Cloister during visiting hours.
We are not always able to give advance notice of closures but where possible we will include details on this webpage. If you would like further advice on your visit, please contact visits@worcestercathedral.org.uk.

If you are planning a visit some time ahead you may want to take the following information into consideration:

  • Monday - Saturday: Access to the East End of the Cathedral and the Crypt begins to be restricted shortly before 5pm as we prepare for our daily service of Choral Evensong (or Evening Prayer) at 5.30pm - all are welcome to attend. General visiting ends at 5pm, last entry at 4.30pm.
  • Sunday: We hold our main Sung Eucharist at 10.30am; all are welcome to attend, but the Cathedral does not open for visiting until 12.30pm. There is also Choral Evensong at 4pm and last entry for general visiting is 2.30pm, with closure to visitors at 3pm.

Please visit our website again prior to your visit, to check opening hours and current restrictions.
