Young Voices New Visions Exhibition 2025
Young Voices New Visions is an annual exhibition in the medieval cloisters at Worcester Cathedral, showcasing visual artworks created by children and young people. The exhibition is open to all schools and community groups in Worcestershire who work with children and young people between the ages of 5 - 18. Work can be made collaboratively or by individuals in any visual art medium.
The theme for the 2025 exhibition is 'Courage', and entrants were tasked with considering:
- Who is your hero and what makes them brave?
- When was a time you had to be brave and face your fears?
- How does it feel to stand up for what’s right?
- How does courage look on the inside? How can you show that with colours and shapes?
- What is something new you want to try that takes courage?
- What animal do you think is the bravest and why?
- What kind of adventure would you go on if you had lots of courage?
The exhibition will be open to the public from Sunday 8 June until Monday 30 June 2025.
Young Voices New Visions Free Creative Workshop
Ahead of the exhibition, there will be a brilliant opportunity to take part in a free drop-in creative arts workshop with professional artists Imogen Morris. It will take place on Tuesday 27 May, 10.30am-3pm in the Cathedral Chapter House. Workshop participants will help make a large collaborative piece of art out of nails and thread to be displayed in the exhibition. This is the perfect activity for families and you don't have to be an entrant into Young Voices New Visions, just come along and make some art!
